Welcome to MuscleFactory Gymnasium

MuscleFactory Gymnasium is an independent gym based in Swinton, South Yorkshire and is the largest old-school gym in the local catchment area. The gym has been established for over 20 years, earning a reputation as a well-run, welcoming place to train without the corporate feel.

We welcome everyone, from complete beginners to experienced gym-goers, and pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where people can train confidently at their own pace. Respect for others, the equipment, and the space is central to how we operate.

MuscleFactory is owner-run and hands-on. Chris brings over 40 years of coaching experience, working with a wide range of clients across health, fitness, and physique goals. Fay is a former IFBB Pro Women’s Physique competitor with over 20 years of training experience, bringing first-hand knowledge of long-term training, discipline, and gym culture.

The gym is known for its extensive range of machines and free weights, a no-nonsense training environment, and a strong sense of community. Alongside open gym access, we work with experienced personal trainers and offer additional health and fitness services on site

We also stock a wide range of supplements and nutrition products, available to both members and the general public.

Our aim is simple: to provide a spacious, established, and welcoming gym where people enjoy training, feel supported, and become part of something trusted and long-standing.
